David calls the Lord his shepherd. What does this mean? We know the work of a shepherd—tending the sheep and protecting them. For those of us living in areas where animal husbandry is done, we are familiar with the roles of shepherds and how important they are to the sheep. The sheep must follow the shepherd to where the grass is greener and where there is safety. In the same way, Jesus is our shepherd as believers. We depend daily on his provision and protection. We praise God for His provision and protection over the ministry of Life Builders since the beginning of this year. God has sent people from different places and locations to meet our needs in all areas. We can say boldly like David, “The Lord is our Shepherd, and we shall not want!” (Psalm 23:1).
